A collection of images, notes and questions, Gravity of Center brings all of RUBBERBANDance Group's (RBDG) enthusiasm and intensity to the stage. Quijada's pursuit of movement - acceleration, exaggeration, syncopated rhythms and physical prowess - is the central theme of this production that blurs the boundaries between urban, contemporary and classical dance. With his illusionistic lighting, Yan Lee Chan creates an otherworldly universe and DJ Lil' Jaz provides a sonic ornament to RBDG's unique aesthetic.
