We are thrilled to share our 2026/27 season and the incredible diverse artists we will be presenting. This season, we explore the theme of INHERITANCE — what we leave behind, what remains with us, what we choose to carry forward, and what continues to shape us.

Our Signature Series will feature four powerful works. Intensity is brought to the stage in LABOUR by Parts+Labour Danse, choreographed by David Albert-Toth and Emily Gualtieri. Pulga Dance will present INKOSI, a dance theatre piece choreographed by Pulga Muchochoma, with a pre-show installation by Nickeshia Garrick. HUMAN is a large ensemble premiere from Human Body Expression, co-created by Hanna Kiel, Aaron Jan, and Ryan Lee. We are excited to present the Canadian premiere of Architecture of Violence by Jaberi Dance Theatre, co-choreographed by Roshanak Jaberi and Karen Kaeja.
 
DanceWorks will also bring back our much-loved CoWorks Series, which supports emerging and independent dance creators in the development and presentation of their own productions and creative projects. This season’s CoWorks artists include JrifterS, featuring a new work by Jen Hum and Sarah Kim; Blue Ceiling Dance under the direction of Lucy Rupert; Haut Haus Collective, a group of tap artists and jazz musicians from across North America; and Tracey Norman’s new contemporary ensemble work.
