Wen Wei Dance 2 by Chris Randle

DanceWorks is a provincially incorporated non-profit charitable organization that presents in a professional manner, a contemporary dance series dedicated to presenting work by gifted professional dance artists from different Canadian provinces, and internationally.

A leading presenter of independents/small companies, DanceWorks provides exceptional opportunities for professional dance artists. Throughout its history, the organization has encouraged public appreciation, knowledge and enjoyment of dance.

Your donation to DanceWorks will support in:

  • Developing/promoting seasons of high quality, culturally pluralistic dance programming created by local, national and international professional dance artists.
  • Supporting the growth/development of dance artists who are contributing significantly to the field, by presenting choreographies from their evolving body of work.
  • Encouraging the public to engage with dance artists and their work in a meaningful way through outreach and animation.

DanceWorks is a registered Canadian charity.

Donors are the heart of our season.

We acknowledge the Toronto/Tkaronto as One Dish One Spoon Indigenous territory. We honour the ancestral caretakers of this land: the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Wendat and most recently the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation who have a Treaty relationship with Canada. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work in their community, on this territory. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future.
